Jutson Yacht Design Web News Update - December 2005

Jutson 62 just launched

Our most recent launch is this 62 footer build by Custom Catamarans in Australia. She was launched in the Clarence River and has exceeded her design target speeds by hitting 26 knots in sea trials. Power is provided by a pair of 420hp Yanmars.

The boat was originally commissioned by a Singapore based businessman and so has a tropical specification that includes a massive 116,000 Btus of air conditioning. This boat is unnamed and actively for sale. See our Selling page for more details.

Jutson 480 Crosses a Stormy Tasman Sea

Just published in the latest issue of Multihull World - Power Catamaran is this long and very detailed article by Barry Tyler on the Meridian 480 Bella. The story is both an excellent review of the boat as well as a good tale of a difficult trans Tasman passage in a new boat in mid winter. Click here to read more.

Jutson Designed 53 Powercat For Sale

One of our most popular designs is the 53' open flybridge. This design has the practical balance of accommodation and general functionality that makes it a perfect long term cruising vessel for a couple with occasional guests or a liveabord family. Fuel accommodation is a miserly 3/4 gallon per NM at 15 knots so go anywhere range is a given.

The first boat to this design is now actively for sale through us. Having been meticulously maintained and upgraded by the original owner this boat would suit a new vessel buyer. For more details click here.
